Today, year 2 were so excited to have their first violin lesson! We met our music teacher, took part in music and movement, listened to our teacher play and learnt the part names of the violin. Finally, we plucked and used the bow. We already canโt wait for next week. 8 Likes
๐Year 6 Mock SATs Week๐ This week, our Year 6 pupils took part in their Mock SATs to help them become familiar with the assessments and identify their strengths, while giving them a chance to practise effective test techniques in a supportive environment. We are super proud of how hard they worked and the effort that they showed. Using a sieve, they carefully separated materials before discussing and describing the process using scientific vocabulary. Our Facebook posts are changing... slightly! From today, we will only post pictures of children from behind, or side-view. This is in response to the evolving safeguarding concerns about inappropriate online use of images of children. Over time, we will be removing historical images which don't align with this approach. 12 Likes
Year 5 had a fantastic first session participating in the Mini Police program. They donned their high-vis uniforms and developed their questioning techniques, discovering facts and gathering evidence. They also began to learn how to use the phonetic alphabet to spell their names. It was great fun and they are eagerly looking forward to the next session! 2 Likes
